Opening Speaker:
Assoc. prof. Stoyanka Cherkezova, IPHS – BAS
Topic: “The New Map of Labour: Migration, Mobile Citizenship and Sectoral Risks in Bulgaria”
The lecture will explore how migration and mobility are reshaping economies and labour markets, the main reasons why people migrate, the contemporary migration profiles in Bulgaria, and the risks and opportunities emerging for different economic sectors in the context of demographic and social change.
Гост-лектор:
Ms. Silvia Desheva, Integration Officer at UNHCR
Topic: “Barriers and Opportunities for the Labour Market Inclusion of Migrants and Refugees”
About the TRAM4DW project:
How does the right to free movement affect national labour markets, particularly the employment of foreign workers? How are EU regulations implemented and enforced and are conditions for decent work being created in selected European countries? – these and similar questions form the starting point for the work on the project Transnational Migrant Counselling for Decent Work. The partners aim to implement preventive measures to address precarious working conditions in five locations in Bulgaria, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, and Ukraine.
